Tummy Time!
I'm told that infants should spend some time on their tummies to build their neck and back muscles. Here's Jed doing just that...oh, wait...this must have been taken AFTER a long tummy time workout. Isn't he cute though?!
Recognizing voices
Since Jed is only 2 1/2 weeks old, most of his day is comprised of eating, sleeping, crying, with some non-fussing awake time. Those moments are the best. That's the time when we can talk to him and play with him. He definitely recognizes mommy's voice and is starting to recognize dad's.
Bath time
Jedidiah has only experienced sponge baths so far. He doesn't mind them, actually. A big help is the portable heater pointed at him. But now that his cord is gone, he can enjoy the bliss of full immersion! We're going to have lotsa fun at bathtime!

Here's Jeddy!
Jedidiah is truly a gift from God! He is a beautiful, healthy baby. He's such a joy to be around. He's very alert and has had his eyes open since birth. We are so excited to have him in our lives.[do I sound like a proud father, or what? ;) ]
Mom and baby are doing great!
Heather gave birth to Jeddy naturally in a large bath tub (a waterbirth). It was an amazing experience! Mom is recovering well (if not a bit tired). Baby is doing wonderfully too.
Jedidiah
The name "Jedidiah" comes from the Bible. It means "loved by God." [see 2 Samuel 12:25]. "Alan" is Grandpa Roll's middle name (Gary, Jarrod's dad).
He's here!
We have a son! Jedidiah Alan Roll was born on 2-24-06 at 2:24am. Pretty neat, huh? He weighed 8 lbs 15 oz! A pretty big baby for such a little mommy! The Lord has blessed us with a healthy, beautiful, boy!
